Copper Tube Cutters & Pipe Benders

TORCHMARK copper tube cutters (heavy-duty 168 mm; standard and mini sizes) and manual tube benders — CT-365 heavy-duty 5–22 mm and TB364 lever-type 12 mm/½ in, up to 180°. OEM/private-label for HVAC and plumbing distributors.

Copper Tube Cutters & Pipe Benders

Cut, bend and deburr copper and aluminium tube with tools built for HVAC and refrigeration work — a heavy-duty 168 mm tube cutter, a two-stage 5–22 mm bender that stops the tube collapsing, a lever-type 12 mm / ½ in bender good for 180°, and a 45° eccentric reamer that makes the cut edge safe to joint. For distributors, importers and private-label brands.

A copper-line job has three failure points, and all three come from the tool, not the fitter: a cut that flattens or burrs the tube and won't seat in the flare, a bend that kinks the wall and chokes the refrigerant flow, and a deburred edge that scratches the flare cone and leaks under pressure. A tube cutter, a tube bender and a deburring reamer are the three tools that decide whether the joint holds — and buying them as one range from one factory is how a wholesaler keeps the copper aisle coherent.
We manufacture this range in Yuyao, Zhejiang and supply HVAC and refrigeration distributors, plumbing merchants and private-label brands worldwide. The collection covers the three steps: heavy-duty tube cutters for large copper and plastic pipe, manual tube benders (CT-365 heavy-duty 5–22 mm and TB364 lever-type 12 mm) and the TR-EER45 45° eccentric reamer for internal deburring — a complete copper cut-and-bend kit for one supplier.

What a professional copper tube tool is judged on

Refrigeration and HVAC fitters who choose tube tools for their van judge them on five things, and a catalogue buyer should use the same list:
  • A square cut that keeps the bore round. A cutting wheel that is dull, or a frame that is out of line, flattens and work-hardens soft copper and leaves a burr inside. The cut must be square and the wall undistorted so the tube seats fully in the flare or fitting.
  • Enough capacity for the pipe you actually run. A 15 mm cutter cannot take a 168 mm plastic pipe, and a compact bender cannot form a 22 mm coil line. The range must bracket the diameters your market installs — soft copper coils, ACR tube and drainage pipe are different jobs.
  • A bender that forms without kinking. Copper work-hardens and splits; a bender with the wrong former radius or no support collapses the wall. A two-stage former with roller wheels — like the CT-365 — supports the tube through the bend so the inside face stays round.
  • A clean, burr-free edge. The flare cone and the fitting shoulder seal against the cut edge. A 45° reamer removes the internal burr so the edge seals instead of shredding the flare.
  • Build for site and van. Refrigeration work happens on roofs, in plant rooms and in tight ceiling voids. Bodies must take drops, grips must hold through a long day, and the tool must be the same one a distributor supplies spare wheels and formers for.
Each group below is built to these criteria, and each is available in the diameter, forming set and branding your market already sells.

The three steps in this collection

1. Tube cutters — heavy-duty 168 mm, plus standard and mini sizes

The heavy-duty 168 mm tubing cutter is the flagship in the large-pipe bracket: an aluminium-alloy frame with a hardened cutting wheel that cuts copper tube, aluminium and plastic pipe from 100 mm to 168 mm (4" to 6-5/8"). At 2.23 kg it is a two-hand tool built for site pipework and drainage runs, and the replaceable wheel keeps the cut square long after a throwaway cutter would have started tearing the wall. For the copper and ACR work most refrigeration buyers do, the same cutter family covers the standard and mini sizes used on soft copper coils down to the small service diameters — a distributor can stock one brand across the whole aisle.
All cutters in the range share the same principle: a hardened wheel scores the tube and a controlled, tightened turn shears it cleanly, so the wall is not crushed. Replaceable wheels and blades mean the tool stays useful for years rather than one season — the point that decides repeat business for a distributor.

2. Manual tube benders — CT-365 heavy-duty (5–22 mm) and TB364 lever-type (12 mm / ½ in)

The CT-365 heavy-duty manual tube bender is engineered for stainless steel and hard copper where a single-stage bender collapses the wall: a unique two-stage design with roller wheels supports the tube through the full bend and prevents pipe collapse, forming a clean bend up to 180° across 5 mm – 22 mm sizes for HVAC and industrial work. Where a job calls for a dedicated size, the TB364 lever-type tube bender handles 12 mm and ½-inch tube with a calibrated degree scale and bends up to 180° — the tool a refrigeration fitter reaches for when bending a single coil-line size all day.
Both benders use a chrome-plated steel frame with aluminium formers and a TPR grip, so the bend radius is set by the former, not by guesswork. Bending cold, without a former matched to the tube diameter, is the single most common cause of a kinked coil line — which is exactly the problem a proper forming set solves.

3. Deburring — TR-EER45 45° eccentric tube reamer

After the cut comes the step most fitters skip and later regret: deburring the inside of the tube end. The TR-EER45 45° eccentric tube reamer uses an HSS M2 blade in an aluminium body to ream the internal burr from copper, aluminium and mild-steel tube ends from 6 mm to 54 mm. A 45° eccentric head cuts the inner edge in a single pass and stays aligned to the bore, so the edge that meets the flare cone or the press fitting is smooth instead of ragged. It is the small, cheap tool that decides whether a flare seals — and it is the natural add-on a distributor bundles with every cutter and bender.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a tube cutter and a pipe cutter?
A tube cutter uses a hardened wheel that scores and shears thin-wall tube (copper, aluminium, ACR) cleanly and square, keeping the bore round. A pipe cutter for plastic pipe works on the same principle but with a ratchet or larger frame for thicker wall. For copper and refrigeration work, use a tube cutter matched to the diameter — the heavy-duty 168 mm model covers large pipe, and the standard and mini sizes cover soft copper coils.
How do I bend copper tube without kinking it?
Use a bender with a former matched to the tube diameter so the bend radius is supported through the arc. Cold-bending copper without a former — or with the wrong radius — collapses the wall and work-hardens the tube. The CT-365 two-stage design with roller wheels supports the tube through the bend for sizes 5–22 mm; the TB364 lever bender does the same for 12 mm / ½ in.
What size tube bender do I need for HVAC work?
For refrigeration and HVAC coil-line work, a 12 mm / ½ in lever bender (TB364) covers the sizes most commonly run. For a workshop doing a range of sizes up to 22 mm, the CT-365 heavy-duty two-stage bender forms 5–22 mm and handles hard copper and stainless. Tell us the tube sizes you use and we confirm the formers.
Why do I need a deburring reamer after cutting?
The cut leaves a burr on the inside of the tube end. That burr scratches the flare cone or the fitting shoulder and can cause a leak, and it also restricts flow. The TR-EER45 45° eccentric reamer cuts a clean internal edge on 6–54 mm tube in one pass, so the edge that meets the flare or press fitting seals properly.
Will these tools cut plastic pipe as well as copper?
Yes. The heavy-duty 168 mm cutter cuts copper, aluminium and plastic (PVC/PPR) tube up to 168 mm. For plastic pipe sizes covered by ratchet cutters (32–63 mm), see our dedicated PVC/PPR pipe tool range, which is built specifically for PVC, PPR, PE, PP and PEX.
Do you supply cut-and-bend tools with flaring tools in one order?
Yes. The copper cut-and-bend range pairs naturally with our flaring tools — cut square, deburr, flare, bend, all from one factory. A wholesaler can build a complete HVAC copper kit in a single order and shipment.
Can you do OEM / private label and custom packaging?
Yes — custom body colour, logo, laser marking, retail box and blow-mould case are available, and we confirm samples against your specification before production. ODM specification development is also supported.
What is the MOQ?
Small-batch customisation is supported; the minimum differs by model and finish. Tell us the models and quantity and we confirm the MOQ and lead time.
