Drain Cleaners & Augers
JQ-020 Blister-Packed Hand Drain Auger 5-15 m
JQ-020A, B and C blister-packed hand drain augers: 5-6 mm cable in 5, 10 and 15 m. Nine item numbers on Spanish retail cards, OEM packing from Ningbo.
What the JQ-020 range is
JQ-020A, JQ-020B and JQ-020C are hand-operated drain augers packed on hanging blister cards instead of in a plain poly bag or a printed carton. That single difference is the whole point of the range. The tool inside is a compact hand auger with a fixed plastic grip, a 5 mm or 6 mm cable and a corkscrew end, sized for sinks, basins, baths, shower traps and short branch runs. The packaging is what turns it from a trade counter item into something a retail buyer can hang on a pegboard and sell without unpacking it.
Nine item numbers sit under the range: three card artworks, each offered in three cable lengths. The tables below list every one of them so a purchase order can be built without opening a PDF.

What the A, B and C suffixes actually mean
The three suffixes carry the same three length options at the same three weights. They are not different tools and they are not different cable gauges. What changes is the card artwork in front of the buyer: the A card leads with a 5 metros marking, the B card with 10 metros, and the C card with 15 metros. The wording on the stock cards is Spanish, which is why this range is usually the starting point for buyers supplying Spain and Latin America.
If you are building an assortment for a retail chain, that gives you an obvious shelf logic: put the length your customer most often buys at eye level, and use the matching suffix. If you are unsure which suffix sells in your market, ask for the three card artworks and test them as a split rather than committing a container to one.
Where a blister-packed auger earns its space
This is a retail and light-trade product, not a contractor tool. It suits a hardware store, a supermarket non-food aisle, a plumbing merchant's counter display or a seasonal household-maintenance promotion. The jobs it is bought for are the ones a householder will attempt before calling anyone: a slow kitchen sink, a bath that drains badly, hair in a shower trap, a utility sink in a garage. Pulling a blockage of that size out of a short trap run is well inside what a 5 mm or 6 mm cable at 5 to 15 m will do.
It is deliberately not the tool for a main stack, a long horizontal run or a root intrusion. If your customers are plumbers rather than householders, the higher-specification units are a better fit: the JQ-009 drum auger range covers 7 to 10 mm cable up to 10 m, and the JQ-002A and JQ-002B hand drum augers carry a 6 mm cable in a closed drum. Matching the tool to the buyer is covered in more detail in our guide to planning a drain auger range for wholesale buyers.
Card, artwork and barcode
The stock version ships under the KALA card shown in the images on this page. For private label the practical questions a retailer will ask are all about the card, not the cable: what size the hanging hole is, whether the card stands up to a pegboard in a humid store, whether the barcode is printed on the card or applied as a label, and whether the language panel can be changed per market. Those are all answerable per order.
Send us the artwork specification you need and we will confirm which parts of the card can be changed and which are fixed tooling. Where a detail has to be verified against a physical sample before you commit, we will say so rather than confirm it from an email. Paid samples are the normal route for a card change.
Packing and mixed orders
Carton quantity, minimum order per item number and the mixed-container ratio are commercial terms rather than catalogue data, so they are quoted per enquiry instead of being printed here. What can be stated now is the shipping weight: 0.45 kg for the 5 m item, 1.3 kg for the 10 m item and 1.9 kg for the 15 m item, before carton and card. That is enough to model freight on a mixed pallet.
Because all nine item numbers share the same three weights, a mixed order across the range stays easy to cube. That is the practical reason buyers mix A, B and C in one shipment instead of picking one suffix.
Choosing between JQ-020, JQ-009 and JQ-022
Three ranges in our drain cleaner programme overlap on paper, so it is worth being explicit about which one belongs where. The JQ-020 is the retail-facing blister item: short lengths, thin cable, shelf-ready packaging. The JQ-010A and JQ-010B hand drain augers are the bagged equivalent for buyers who do not need a hanging card. The JQ-022 pull-wire drain cable is the bare cable with no handle or drum at all, sold to the trade as a consumable or a replacement.
If a customer needs a different approach entirely for a long or awkward run, a 9 m drain rod set such as the JQ-025 reaches where a coiled cable will not. The one-page decision route is in our drain auger cable size chart.
Frequently asked questions
Is the cable replaceable on the JQ-020?
On a blister-packed hand auger the cable is normally fixed into the handle and is not offered as a separate service part. If cable replacement matters to your market, buy the drum units instead, where spare cable is a stocked line in our drain auger spare cables range. Confirm the specific construction on the model you intend to order before you promise a customer a replaceable cable.
Can the card be printed in a language other than Spanish?
Yes, as a private-label change, subject to artwork approval. The stock cards are Spanish. Send the language panel and barcode requirements with your enquiry and we will confirm what can be changed on the existing card tooling and what needs new tooling. Nothing about the language change is confirmed until artwork is signed off.
What drain size is a 5 mm cable good for?
Cable diameter is a filter, not a guarantee. A 5 mm cable suits short trap and branch runs of the kind found under a sink or basin, and a 6 mm cable gives more stiffness for a longer or slightly wider run. It does not make the tool suitable for a main stack. Use the cable size chart to narrow the choice, then confirm against the access point and the obstruction.
Do you supply the same auger without a blister card?
Yes. The JQ-010A and JQ-010B cover the 5 mm and 6 mm hand auger in a bagged format. If you need a card for retail and a bag for the trade counter in the same container, both can be quoted together.
How do I get a quotation?
Email the item numbers, quantities and the market you are selling into. Item numbers alone are enough to quote, and the card language and barcode details can follow. Samples of a card change are paid samples; ask for the current sample cost and turnaround with your enquiry.
