Specifying a Tube Bender Range
A bender is specified by the tube it must form without collapsing: outside diameter, wall thickness, material temper and minimum bend radius. Getting those four into the specification prevents the most common complaint — a visually smooth bend with a restricted bore.
Former size and bend radius

Material and wall thickness
Soft copper behaves differently from half-hard copper, aluminium or thin-wall steel. State the temper with the order; a former set validated on soft tube may not hold shape on harder material.
Lever geometry and support
