OEM, ODM & Private Label Hand Tools | Torchmark

Torchmark supplies OEM, ODM and private-label HVAC and plumbing hand tools with custom packaging, printing and specs. Send us your requirements.

OEM, ODM & Private Label

Torchmark supports distributors and brands with flexible manufacturing: we can build to your specification, print your brand, and package to your retail format.

What We Customize

Logo and brand printing on product and packaging, custom color and finish, private-label cartons and blister packs, and specification tweaks for your market. Custom packaging samples are available on request.

How The Process Works

1) Send your requirement and artwork. 2) We quote and prepare a sample. 3) You approve the sample. 4) We run production with in-line QC. 5) Pre-shipment inspection and delivery. Timeline details are available on request.

Who It Is For

Brands, importers and buying groups that want a reliable Ningbo manufacturing partner for HVAC and plumbing hand tools without building their own factory.

Choosing Between OEM, ODM and Private Label

These three terms are often used interchangeably, but they describe different decisions about who owns the design, the tooling and the specification. Getting the distinction right at enquiry stage prevents most late-stage surprises about artwork, samples and cost.

OEM: your specification, our production

You supply the drawing, target specification or reference sample, and the production route is built around it. The key documents are a controlled drawing revision, an acceptance criterion for each critical dimension, and a golden sample. Clarify who owns any tooling created for the project before it is made.

ODM: our platform, your configuration

An existing tool platform is adapted — thread range, die set, handle, finish, kit composition. This is usually the faster route because the forming and assembly process is already validated. Ask which features are fixed by the platform and which can actually be changed.

Private label: the brand layer

Packaging, printing, colour, barcode and instruction leaflet are a separate workstream from the tool. Approve the artwork proof and the physical packed sample separately; a correct tool in a wrong carton is a failed first shipment.

Questions Buyers Ask Before Ordering

Who owns custom tooling?

Agree it in writing before tooling starts. Ownership affects who can move production later and how tooling costs are treated; we set this out per project rather than assuming a default.

How many sample rounds are typical?

It depends on how many variables change at once. Lock the tool specification, finish and packaging in separate approvals where possible — a change to one should not force a re-approval of the others.

Can we mix models in one order?

Mixed-model assortments are commonly used to build a coherent range. Confirm the mix and carton plan at enquiry stage; MOQ and lead time are available on request based on the actual configuration.

What files do you need for artwork?

Vector artwork, colour references, barcode data and the text for the instruction leaflet. See OEM packaging guidance for the packaging-specific fields.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you print our brand on the tool and box?

Yes, on both product and packaging, within our standard product ranges.

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ depends on the product and customization; tell us the SKU and we confirm the minimum.

How long from sample to mass production?

After sample approval, production timing depends on order size and finish; we quote a firm schedule per project.
